Eider ducks are rare. Their habitat is limited to Iceland and Greenland. Their offspring have it particularly cozy. Because of the extreme cold, they build a nest out of the mother's chest down. When the little ones have flown away, the abandoned nests are emptied by state-certified collectors. The down collected in this way is then sorted by hand, hygienically processed, washed and dried. Eider down is characterized by its dark beige color and the unusually large number of branches that stick like burrs. They also ensure that duvets with eider down are the best, warmest and lightest of their kind.

But before we start raving about it, just come and see for yourself what we mean.

Skin-friendly pleasure

Eiderdown can be safely considered a masterpiece of nature. Small branches mean that it sticks together almost like burrs and can withstand even the strongest arctic storms. This means that it stays in the nest and the ducklings are warmly protected. Eiderdown provides an extraordinary, very skin-friendly pleasure. Its insulating properties and ability to retain heat are a unique miracle of a high-quality natural product. Anyone who has the pleasure of spending their night under an eiderdown duvet will never want to do without this exquisite sleeping comfort again.

Pure down, clear conscience

Goose down duvets and down pillows are high-quality branded products for which we only use the very best raw materials. We source these from selected suppliers in Europe. The down and feathers come from well-fed, adult animals from safe animal husbandry. Our down does not come from live plucking or force-feeding. Our suppliers are carefully tested, certified accordingly and also regularly monitored. High-quality down has many advantages. It is large-flaked, the duvets are filled with less down and are pleasantly light. It has a higher filling power. More air pockets ensure better temperature balance and moisture exchange. It is significantly more durable and hard-wearing. Unlike feathers, down does not have hard quills and is therefore much fluffier. The constant balance between warm and cool, dry and moist creates a particularly comfortable, cuddly feeling. The sleeper never feels cramped. Very important for a deep, restful sleep. Sleep research knows that on average, people turn over in bed up to 42 times a night.
